I don't think Australia is any more racist than any other country, considering most other countries consist of one or only a few races.
Because Australia is so multicultural, someone is bound to say something, but i DO NOT support racism.
If some English people, some Chinese people and some Italians were to move to Africa, what would they say?
This, however does not make racism right. It just shows that Human Beings are afraid of difference and become defensive in these situations.
I think Australia is a racist country, but not in a shout out loud 'I HATE ASIANS!!' type of way. More of a subconscious, treating anglos better than black people way.

s jetson makes a very good point i toally agree, and n hess your so rite, there is a boxing kanagroo :P funny stuff
i totally agree with s quinlivan. it is a terrible thing that happens, but i still dont think that it is going to stop.
i also agree with s jetson, australia isnt any more worse than any other country.
i totally think racism is terrible and it is mean and it should be stopped. who cares if someone is a different colour or if they look different, what makes them so bad?
S.Quinlivan summed up most of my thought and i agree. Except for the last bit about parents teaching kids to stop bullying.
I disagree in a few ways:
1. Not all parents support the fact of a non-racist Australia. Some parents agree with the nasty comments said in schools and around the community. Even if they no it is wrong they totally do not agree with stopping an helping the situation one bit.
2. Not all parents can stop there kids from learning these bad habits , no matter how hard the parents try the matter needs to be solved in schools too. The kids learn from there peers and even if they did not dare to be racist and discriminate around older people hey still have hatred for multi-cultural people and the racist comments will still be said among fellow class mates and friends.
This problem is becoming worse every day, we need a solution to solve this problem. More needs to be done rather then being ignorant to the issue.
i reckon rascism in australia is real and were as rascist as every other country, and every bodie is sick of lebonese and chinese doing wat they want and geting away wth it its not rite.

Australia can be a racist country at some point, but in saying that, we are not the only country with a racist issue.
Racism is an issue in Australia because Australia is very multicultural.
But in truth, racism is not right, whatever the reason.
