Euthanasia is the practice of ending the life of an individual (who is suffering from a terminal disease or a chronically painful condition) in a painless or minimally painful way. This can be done by either a lethal injection, drug overdose, or by the withdrawal of medical support.
Debate about the morality and legality of voluntary euthanasia has been, for the most part, a phenomenon of the second half of the twentieth century and the beginning of the twenty first century.
Some say that it is the right thing to do to help people who desire a hastened death so as to avoid further suffering. Some say it is morally and ethically wrong to kill another human being. At present, it is against the law to practice Euthanasia / Assisted suicide.

Is Euthanasia something you agree with? Should assisted suicide be legalised?

very contriversial
if some one is old and on life suport and can't leave a bed then If they want to die ,let them
some people try to comit suicide but fail and injure them selves, puting them in more pain
some teen's do it and there parents don't know they are having problems untill its to lait
would any parent sign to let their child die?
I think its a good idea theoredically but would it work?
if you want to do it you have to bring yourself to do it but with this other thing other people would. some people might not want to die that badly, they just cond their mind into it
I find it hard to pick a side. I feel that the method of death is awful, but I would also not like to suffer for that long anyway
I believe that if the person is definitely going to die anyway, it should be done, but if the person has the slightesst chance of life, why wipe away all your last chances of happiness and a fulfilling life?
I think that euthanasia should be legal, but only to very old sick people, who are suffering.
I prefer to think of euthanasia as an end to suffering, as opposed to an end to a life.
i agree with l giles only when the person is really sick and in alot of pain and they really want to end there life, it's there decision to make. if i was dying and in alot of pain and there was no chance of recovery, i would want my suffering ended.
Some facts on suicide:
* Australia leads the world in suicide rates among people aged 15-25.
* Suicide occurs in all sections of soicety.
* More young men kill themselves than young women, but more females attempt suicide.
* Most suicides occur at home.
* The vast majority of young people who die, especially young males, die from accidents or take their own lives deliberatly.
To do something about this serious problem, it is necessary to find out why so amny young people put their lives at risk.
So should we help suicide or stop it?
and if someone is in serious help and on there death bed and cant speakhow do we know they want to die.
Both suicide and euthanasia should be legalised. If people truly think that their lives are no longer worth living, who's to say whether they have a right to end it or not? If teenagers think that there lives are meaningless because their girlfriend dumped them, then people of such intelligence can't really deserve to survive. People shouldn't have to put up with their suffering if they don't want to. Euthanasia not being legalised is cruel, because I wouldn't enjoy living twenty years of pain, and if in an instant, I could end that pain, I most certainly would.
Someone can be in a relationship for as long as they want and if the relationship isn't working and you get dumped of course you would be feeling quite lousy and life would seem meaningless, but soon wouldn't you reliase that there isn't just that one person in the world there is other people too.
But God gave us a life to live, and He ends our life at a different time from everyone. Just because someone is less intelligent and thinks there life is useless doesn't mean they deserve to die.
If God wanted you to die he would end the world for you, and if God really loved us he would end the world in a less painful way then suicide and euthanasia.
stop and think before you kill yourself
the only time if you wanted to die by someone helping, is if you were dieng slowley painfully and no cure
I think if people want to kill themselves we should let them, I don't think that professional help WILL help them.
