Do you believe different religions can co-exist without conflict?
Religion can generate great personal commitment and passion, expressed as caring, love, respect, and support for others. It can motivate believers to dedicate their lives to the alleviation of suffering and need. However, it can also motivate people to hate followers of other religions. This can escalate into actions of conflict, oppression, murder, terrorism and genocide.How might this be avoided?

to be honest i wish different religions could co-exist but sadly i think there would be too much conflict between them.

Different religions cannot co-exist without open conflict. Why? It is because they choose not to do so. Religions often promote values of love and openness but fail to understand that these values must be expressed universally and consistently. Being selective with tolerance will only breed separation and resentment, which in turn will produce open conflict.
When one faith conflicts with another’s a rift often develops between the two religious groups. All believers need to acknowledge that there can be more than one “true religion” and that theirs is not necessarily it. Acceptance should be the basis of all spirituality.
The same goes for non-believers. Atheists and my fellow agnostics, I put it to you; do members of religious faiths have the right to criticize or isolate you based on your beliefs? If not, why do you have the right to do the same to them?
Being Christian, I know the principles of a religion, and we get taught to love everyone, regadless of circumstances.
But, I know other Christians that are against other religions. This is because these people are so set on what they believe that they are not even able to listen to anybody else. Selfish if you ask me.
This is a sin within itself.
I don't believe that there will ever be any consolation between religions because they are all too different.
Although, I am fascinated and open to other religions, some are not. And as the muslims are being told right now to murder any non-muslims, the problem circulates again.
Please do not imply that I am unaware of the principles of a religion. After spending almost a decade in a religious school and some time as a Christian myself, I would probably have some idea about religious beliefs. Nothing compared to your flawless and unbiased knowledge, of course.
i dont think that religions will ever be able to get on because religions are made up of what people believe in. these people just happen to be very strong willed and strongly believe in what they say and do. these are the types of people that cant see past their own ignorance and their own beliefs to see that some people might believe in other stuff and that they think that their religion is wrong... our society will never be perfect, but this is one of the issues people need to try to fix.
they should be able to figure outsomething about how to live together. if people cant live in the precentcee of another reiligon then they should move
