I don’t think it would ever be just to kill a criminal, because killing anyone on purpose is murder – even if it is to help other people. Murdering someone because they murdered others, is, in my opinion, just as bad as the crime the person committed. Maybe it’s better for the person, not having to live with guilt for the rest of their life, but it’s still murder.
People are always saying that we should forgive those around us and give them a second chance. How would we be giving that person a second chance after we’ve just killed them as a punishment? If criminals were killed as a punishment, they wouldn’t be given an opportunity to change and to prove themselves a good and worthy citizen of our country.

What about those people who are mentally ill and do not really recognise that they are committing an offense? There has been speculation that Martin Bryant was mentally ill and went off his medication. Having had experience with friends of mine who do suffer from a variety of mental illness, it is something you cannot control easily without medication. If you go off this, you are susceptible to becoming someone who has no rational ability to understand the consequences of their actions ... do you think it is justifiable to execute the mentally ill?
Would like to know what you think ...
If you kill a murderer you are a murderer so you should be killed but whoever kills you should be killed to............
killing people isn't nice
i can see the points in both. although if you think about what you would want if you were a victims relative or even if you were a victim and u surivived,you would almost definitely want the person put to death. but i feel life in jail could be harsher than death itself. imagine having to think about what you have done over and over again, and then dreaming about it, then seeing flashbacks. wouldnt death take them away from this? wat do you think ? im interested in other peoples opinions on that question.
We should let them rot in a jail cell for the rest of their lives. They want to die, so don't give it to them. Martin Bryant has tryed to commit suicide twice while he's been in prison, so obviously he wants to die. They shouldn't be given protection in prisons, let the prison 'justice system' take place.
i agree with all of the. i just can't decide they are all just to right. but im going to have to say we should not kill other people for the bible says its a crime to kill others. if someone killed someone and we were to execute them we would be just as bad as the criminal that killed someone else. for we just killed them. VERY confusing but true in my opinion.!!!
While some people believe in "an eye for an eye", It is still not right to kill or hate anyone.
The Bible says to love your enemies, no matter how hard that is.
I believe that murderers and rapists should be locked up forever, but it is still not right to execute them. This makes us just as bad as them. We're still torturing and killing someone, no matter how beneficial it seems.
If you made one little mistake, were intoxicated, mentally ill or set up,
You would NOT want to pay for it with your life.
Lock them up, make them learn, but never retaliate.
I feel that, in certain cases, execution is the most appropriate action. Of course, I am only referring to the cases in which the person is, beyond doubt, guilty. I don't enjoy the feeling that my parent's hard earned money is going towards paying for food, shelter and relaxation for murderers, child molesters, and rapists, who are going to get out of jail in the end anyway, and then, seeing how they can live an easy life in jail, commit more crimes, just so that they can return to having people who work hard pay for their luxury. Their lives aren't worth what people are paying for them.
executing should be banned, why kill more people if they did the same. They have a life and they have a family too you know. Execution is not the right punishment a jail sentence is but it depends on how long the jail sentence is for.If killing someone is not apppropriate then why execute someone.
if we give convicted criminals an opportunity to return to society ther is the possibility that they will commit fresh crimes with new victims. how can we allow more people to be hurt or killed by sumone who was proved to hav done sumthing like this before? if its murder to kill a criminal, it should be a crime to allow them to return to their past ways and ruin more lives. however if a jail sentence would be a worse punishment because the person wished to die then prison might be the better option.
