Should skateboards be prohibited on sidewalks?

Some argue that having skateboards in the same area as walkers can be dangerous. What are your thoughts? Should it be an offense to skate on sidewalks or should everyone share the paths?

No! Skateboards should not be banned on sidewalks, as long as they keep to the road rules, theres no reason they should be.

No because they would have to skate on the road instead, and this would be dangerous

sk8 boards should heve their own lane on the sidewalk as many people feel imtimidated by "gangsters" and walk around sk8 boarders to avoid any inconvinience

I'm not sure. I ride a skateboard myself, but i have enough room in the backyard - and besides, i can't really ride on side walks, 'cause where i live the is no side walks. The only side walks i've ridden on have been really wide. And there was no way that people could run into you. Or the other way 'round.
