C. Wright Mills (an American sociologist) once said:
'Freedom is not merely the opportunity to do as one pleases; neither is it merely the opportunity to choose between set alternatives. Freedom is, first of all, the chance to formulate the available choices, to argue over them — and then, the opportunity to choose'.
How would you describe freedom?

I don't believe in freedom, choices are only made by chemicals reacting in your brain.
It is a proven fact that rational thought comes after the action.
You only think that you had thought before the action.
I think freedom would to do anything you want without being told what to do and never having to follow and to be safe. Unfortunately not many people have it.
I don’t believe In freedom no one is REALY free only rich people are free truly. Every one else has no power and we are real just working to survive like other people in other countries
There is no freedom, you cannot do whatever you want if you could there would be numerous injuries and possibly death.
How can there be freedom? I think for there to be freedom there can be no law and that would end in murder and blood.
We lost freedom when Adam and Eve sinned and we can only regain that freedom when Jesus comes to take us to heaven.
My idea of freedom is the right to vote, speak out and be heard and and feel protected. In ancient times freedom meant the right to marry start a family and own land. Australia is ucky because we have freedom, many other countries do not have freedom and would be killed if they tried to speak up, or were never really safe because of terrorism and war.
I believe that to have freedom is to have the right to be treated as an equal, to be able to believe whatever religion wished, to be able to think for yourself, and to be an independent person. Of course, there are limits on what actions you can take and things you can say because it may (and does) affect/offend someone around you.
i think freedom comes after you have worked so hard that you end up falling asleep on your desk each nite. i believe you have to earn Freedom before you live it
freedom.... we take it for granted
it is soo lucky that whenever we want we can walk outside and know we won't be shot at.
people take it for granted
now ... i don't
There is such a thing as freedom, but within reason.
Not doing whatever you want, without laws and resulting in chaos, but freedom to have the right to choose. We are so lucky that we live in Australia and have many equal and fair rights, and have that right to choose. But others don't. We need to be grateful for our rights and respect them.
Everybody lives different lives, beliefs, thoughts so everyone isn't going to agree with one persons thoughts. At least if not one person will object to it.
I think freedom is what you think it is. or what you make it be, if you think freedom is being able to go to a party unsupervised then that's your thought on freedom.
My idea of freedom, is being to say what you think without being discriminated for who or what you are, even if your thought is totally obseen, everyone deserves freedom.
i think freedom is where you can do what u want, but stay in the rules.
My idea of freedom is not being caught behind bars. beeing able to make desisions and to feel free. i think that we shoud all be free somethimes, espeshaly when our disition is the right one. not every one in this world is free, i think that kinda susks.
