I don't think our generation could make poverty history becacuase more than half the world's population is considered to be in poverty. What's more is that the other half of the population that are well off, don't seem to really care enough to send food clothing and shelter to those in need. without the help of everyone, the goal to give everyone a chance wouldn't be possable
i agree. half the world is in the "third world" a problem the other half don't understand. The only way they could understand is being in thats situation then maybe then they would understand how lucky they are and how necessary it is to send food, clothing, money and more.Making poverty history would take a lot of work and effort, including understanding; but if we take action and strive for our goal then maybe we might just make it a thing of the past.
I think there’s a chance that poverty could become history but first the whole world needs to make a contribution and if we try we can make poverty history.
I believe that it can be done, however, I believe that our generation needs to see what is REALLY happening, and that we all need an inspiration and more motivation. The whole live 8 thing was amazing, and I believe that we need that sort of motivation. (Live 8 was a concert were bands such as U2 played at, and all the money raised was sent to povery-striken country's)
Our generation and many generations to come can definitely make poverty history. We can all work together to make poverty in developing countries a thing of the past and work towards a better future for everyone, where everyone is equal!
